Essex unites to say thank you in volunteer week.

Furlonteer is a not-for-profit project designed to connect charities and good causes with people who have been furloughed due to the coronavirus outbreak and want to offer their time as a volunteer.

Complex cases of COVID-19, such as those linked to care homes, prisons or schools, that are harder to contact trace are referred to PHE health protection teams. SWF has care homes, schools plus homeless people being looked after by CHESS in Chelmsford.

The Chief Executive of Public Health England's weekly update message covers the easing of lockdown, a study to improve our understanding of COVID-19 antibodies and immunity, the heatwave, drug and alcohol treatment funding for people sleeping rough, and the national #flextheUK campaign to make flexible working the norm.

New funds are available from central Government to help small charities in Southend, Essex and Thurrock, who are working with vulnerable children and young people. Please note the very short deadline – applications need to be received by Friday, 26th June.
