Emergency respite for dementia carers

Ten beds in EPUT’s Rawreth Court facility are now available to offer emergency respite for people caring for a person living with dementia in their own home. These emergency beds are in place so that carers get a break from caring. They are intended for use only when all options to remain “at home” have been exhausted.

Referrals should be made by healthcare professionals or social services in the first instance, with local dementia crisis and intensive support teams managing the process.
