Content from Care Quality Commission
As the regulator of health and social care in England we make sure hospitals, care homes, dental and GP surgeries, and all other care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care, and we encourage them to make improvements
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic we’ve suspended our routine inspections to reduce the pressure on health and social care services during the coronavirus outbreak. We’ll still monitor them using data and information, and we’ll still visit if we think there’s a risk of harm or abuse.
We know that, your colleagues and the people you represent are working through challenging time. It is even more vital that we hear from people who use services during this time to support our understanding of their experiences and our interim inspection approach. During this time, we would encourage you to promote CQC’s Give Feedback on Care online service.
Please share www.cqc.org.uk/give-feedback-on-care through all of your communication channels.
We’ll keep you updated on any further developments relating to our regulatory approach during this period and we would appreciate you sharing with us through our usual public engagement channels any insight you have into any significant developments affecting the quality of people’s care.
