One part of the work of UKHSA (as distinct from its aspects of the management of public health) is explained in this blog.

This grant is being publicised by SWFH&SCG as we know many of the people we’ve been and continue to support will be badly affected by the huge increases in energy bills as well as the increase in other prices and so taking advantage of this scheme may help people stay warm and be good for health and wellbeing.

Today marks the start of British Science Week, a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, and an opportunity to highlight health protection science and UKHSA’s contribution as an organisation with science at its heart.

At present they are open: Mondays, Wednesdays & Sundays, 0800-2000 From week commencing 21 March 2022 they will be open: Mondays, Saturdays & Sundays, 0800-2000. They will be handling pre-booked appointments and accommodating walk-ins as far as supplies allow. They remain very quiet and welcome encouragement of take-up.
