Introduction from James McQuiggan, Chief Executive

Welcome to this edition of the newsletter that will hopefully keep you informed on the work of Mid & North East Essex Mind.  Throughout what has been a difficult period due to the pandemic, we start 2022 in a good, positive place and looking forward to new challenges.
While we have been well supported by the local community over the past two years, we have seen an increase in referral rates, which has impacted on waiting times.  This can be evidenced through our recent recruitment, which is ongoing and outlined below.  Naturally, this is something that we wish to avoid and are working creatively to address this and are working with the integrated care systems to improve experience for all.  However, we are needing to support more people than ever before, and any donation goes a long way for us to provide that support.
Within the next few weeks, we will host an open day at our new site based within the Clacton area. This is a fantastic space for our teams to work from and allows for it to be multi-purpose acting as offices, information hub and crisis café during the evenings. This is a great resource for the people of Clacton and the Tendring area.
Thank you all for your ongoing support, it really is appreciated.
James McQuiggan
Chief Executive
