Support at Home

We would like to take a moment to applaud the magnificent work being done by the Chelmsford Community Hub (the partnership between Chelmsford CVS and Chelmsford City Council). The staff have been so efficient and helpful in passing referrals for people in South Woodham Ferrers and area to us and other appropriate agencies to ensure that those who require it, are getting the support they need in the present most difficult circumstances. When we have had people in and around SWF in need of packages of support, the Chelmsford Community Hub has been tremendous in arranging key aspects of that for them.

If you or someone you know needs help but can’t get support from family, friends or local groups during the pandemic, give the Essex Welfare Service a call on 0300 303 9988 or visit their website www.essexwelfareservice.org.uk. The county-wide service is there to provide advice and support and to help with daily living tasks and essential supplies. It’s open Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 2pm.

Chelmsford City Council and Chelmsford CVS are part of this operation, working together to support those in need in the district. Hundreds of people have already been helped by our local hub and many others have come forward to offer their time.
