Have your say on local NHS services in mid and south Essex

Throughout the year, many of you have shared your views on local NHS services. We are now sharing a final set of surveys for 2025 and would welcome your feedback if you are able to take part.

Whether you have used a service yourself, supported someone else, or decided not to take up care, your feedback helps us understand what is working well and where things could be improved.

As this is our final engagement email of the year, we would also like to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their views with us. Your feedback genuinely helps shape how local NHS and care services develop, and we are grateful for the time and thought local residents put into responding.

NHS 40+ health checks survey

If you are aged 40 to 74, we would like to hear about your experience of the NHS Health Check programme – including whether you attended an appointment or not.

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up designed to assess your risk of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and stroke, and to support you to reduce those risks. Your feedback will help shape how the programme is delivered locally across mid and south Essex.

The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

Closes: Friday 30 January 2026

Using multiple health and care services

If you, or someone you care for, access several different health, social care or voluntary sector services, we would really like to hear from you.

This survey focuses on the lived experience of people who use more than one service, such as GP and hospital care, community or mental health services, adult social care, carers’ support, or community and voluntary sector organisations.

Your feedback will help us understand how well services work together and where there may be opportunities to improve coordination, communication and support across the system.

The survey is open to residents and carers across mid and south Essex.

Closes: Friday 30 January 2026

Community mental health services

We are also seeking feedback from people who have used, or supported someone using, community mental health services in mid and south Essex.

This includes services such as NHS Talking Therapies, Recovery College, Healthy Minds, depression and wellbeing calls, Individual Placement and Support, mental health practitioners in GP practices, and physical health checks for people with severe mental illness.

Your lived experience will help inform the future development of community mental health services and ensure they better meet local needs.

The survey is anonymous and open to anyone with relevant experience.

Closes: 5pm on Wednesday 14 January 2026

How your information is used

All responses are handled securely in line with data protection regulations. Feedback is analysed anonymously by NHS Mid and South Essex, local authorities and service partners, and may be used in public reports without identifying individuals.
