More people in mid and south Essex are getting the care they need, thanks to changes in GP services. In 2024, around seven million GP appointments were delivered locally – a 5% rise on 2023. New digital tools, more clinical staff, and improved phone and online systems are helping patients contact their practice more easily and see the right healthcare professional. People can also now self-refer to a growing range of local services.
