Citizens Advice Essex is the consortium lead for the Citizens Advice network in the Greater Essex area.
Over the last few years, we have become increasingly aware of the impact of the Cost-of-Living crisis – not least its effect on older people. Often, with fixed incomes and hard to reach, it is well recognised that there are many pensioners for whom life could be better but who are not accessing the help and support available.
We’re therefore pleased to invite you to “What can be done about Pensioner Poverty?: A Practical Awareness Session,” a 90-minute session hosted by Citizens Advice Essex.
Date: Multiple Dates
Location: Online
Why Attend?
- Learn how pensioner poverty impacts physical and mental well-being.
- Discover practical tools to help older adults maximise income, tackle fuel poverty, and access support.
- Gain insights on unclaimed benefits like Pension Credit and the value of referrals.
- This session is ideal for professionals in health, housing, local government, social care, or the charity sector who want to make a real difference in their community.
