Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is restricting visiting because of the high rates of seasonal infections being treated in Basildon, Broomfield and Southend Hospitals. And patients there for other reasons are being discharged as quickly as possible to save them picking up those infections post operatively and after other treatment.
