Sepsis is a rare but serious condition that can happen when the body’s immune system overreacts to an infection, causing damage to the body itself. It can be difficult to recognise, as it may just seem like your child has a fever or is feeling particularly unwell. But because sepsis can quickly get worse and lead to more serious complications, it’s important to be aware of the signs and act fast.
