Kingsway GP Practice has asked us to advertise the following message:
Dear Kingsway Patients,
The local pharmacies will be advised that the completion time for repeat prescriptions is 72 working hrs ONCE the request has arrived at the surgery. This message will also be added to our surgery website, Facebook page, new posters in the foyer and reception as well as the waiting room TV. Our prescription clerks are working with the local pharmacies to make them aware of any changes and the local pharmacies will be using Patchs, our online tool, for any queries, requests, or medication changes.
If patients call or come in to request prescriptions please advise that our reception team are unable to take information this way and they need to send requests for missing items/ urgent meds /alternative medications etc via patchs or to kingswaysurgery.prescriptionclerks@nhs.net to stop any errors being made in information given to our team.
Of course, we are aware that there will be patients that are unable to use patchs or emails and they can continue to request from their pharmacy, drop requests into the boxes outside and in the foyer or send via post – please note this last method will take longer to get to the surgery.
