The percentage of people testing positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) increased in England and Wales in the week ending 19 March 2022, and decreased in Northern Ireland.
The percentage testing positive in Scotland increased in the week ending 20 March 2022.
The estimated number of people living in private households (not in hospitals, care homes and/or other communal establishments) that had COVID-19 was:
- 3,485,700 people (1 in 16) in England
- 192,900 people (1 in 16) in Wales
- 108,700 people (1 in 17) in Northern Ireland
- 473,800 people (1 in 11) in Scotland
